Mata Vaishno Devi Temple
Jammu: Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) announced a dedicated helicopter quota for elders (senior citizens) and Divyang pilgrims visiting the famous Mata Vaishno Devi temple above Trikuta hills in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. Kota will be available from Saturday on the official website of the board, Mavaishnodevi. Chief Executive Officer Anshul Garg said that this facility is part of a series of new initiatives aimed at increasing the services of pilgrims.
There was a demand to increase helicopter booking quota
He said that the board has always been committed to improving the experience of pilgrimage by timely introducing new facilities and upgrading the existing infrastructure. The initiative has come in response to the long -standing demand of the Senior Citizen Forum, which recently met a high -level committee to request a separate helicopter booking quota.

Anshul Garg said that a permanent free tea ‘langar service’ has been introduced at the travel facility at Katra railway station, ensuring that the pilgrims coming to the city get warm welcomes and refreshments. He said that to provide the taste of local cuisine, ‘Kadhi-rice’ has been added to the menu menu already installed in semi virgin and Bhairon Valley. He said that additional facilities are also being provided to accommodate devotees in the recently inaugurated Shubhra Bhavan in this area.

Earlier, on the eve of Republic Day, the Shrine Board had announced priority philosophy for local residents on the basis of Aadhaar card, recognizing their deep relations with the temple.
