Millions of devotees continue to arrive in Mahakumbh.
Prayagraj: After the stampede at Prayagraj Mahakumbh in Uttar Pradesh, the situation is now becoming normal. The administration has made arrangements to control the crowd, which is showing the effect. Devotees are now able to bathe easily due to the crowd. More than 27 crore 58 lakh devotees have taken a dip in the holy confluence in 18 days of Mahakumbh. Today, on the 19th day, the bathing of Kalpavasis and devotees who reached Mahakumbh continues. Here on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, the judicial commission formed after a stampede in Mahakumbh is reaching Prayagraj today.
Investigation is to be completed within a month
The three -member investigation team will also give their suggestions as well as find out the cause of stampede and circumstances so that such an incident does not happen in future. The Judicial Commission is headed by former Judge Harsh Kumar. The members of this commission include former IAS DK Singh and former IPS VK Gupta. After thorough investigation of the incident, the Commission has to submit its report to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath within a month. The Commission’s focus is to ensure that such incidents do not happen in future and the fair event can be made more secure.
Many major changes made in the fair area
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and DGP Prashant Kumar visited the fair area on Thursday and took stock of the new security arrangements. The challenge in front of the fair administration is now about the nectar bath of Basant Panchami. The Yogi government has made several major changes in the fair sector, whose main objective is to make traffic and crowd control strict. Under these changes:
- The entire fair area has now been declared a no-vehicle zone. By 5 February, the entry of four -wheelers in the fair area has been banned.
- VIP passes have been canceled. That is, no one will be given VIP protocol till further orders in the fair area.
- Now only pedestrians can enter the fair premises, and the Pontoon Bridge is also kept for pedestrians.
- All the routes in the fair area have been made one-way, so that the path of entry and withdrawal of devotees can be different and the crowd can be controlled.
- Devotees are not being allowed to stay at the bathing ghats for long, so that other devotees can also take bath.
- The security system in the Mahakumbh Mela area has also been strengthened in advance, especially barricading, so that devotees do not get out of the wrong path.
Lakhs are reaching devotees
Millions of devotees are still reaching the Sangam in Mahakumbh to take a dip, but this time the situation is better under strict supervision of the administration. Traffic arrangements have been made and hardening in the fair area, due to which the devotees are now having less problems. Railways are also active this time, and the number of Kumbh special trains has been increased. Special trains are operating from 5 railway stations of Prayagraj, which is providing better facilities to the passengers.
