Significantly, Bangladesh has less than eight percent of Hindus out of 17 crore population. Many people in the interim government are unhappy that India is giving shelter to Hasina. The official request made from India for his extradition is still unanswered.
Yunus took power after the rebellion led by the students last year, killing hundreds of people and former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had to take refuge in India. With this, his 15 -year rule was over. (AP)
