Share Market Opening: Today on 12th December, the Indian stock market started with a slight fall. Sensex opened with a fall of 49.38 points (0.061%) at 81,476.76 and Nifty opened with a fall of 37.35 points (0.15%) at 24,604.45. However, the market remains volatile.
The stock market was trading briskly around 9:30 in the morning. Sensex was trading at 81,658.73 with a gain of 132.59 points (0.16%) and Nifty was trading at 24,669.15 with a gain of 27.35 points (0.11%).
Among the 30 companies listed in the Sensex, shares of Tech Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, HCL Technologies and ICICI Bank were the biggest gainers. Shares of Tata Motors, Titan, Larsen & Toubro and Asian Paints were among the losers.
At present, the eyes of investors are fixed on the inflation data coming from America. These figures can have an impact on the global markets, due to which the Indian stock market can also be affected.
Yesterday, BSE’s benchmark index Sensex based on 30 shares closed at 81,526.14 points, rising by 16.09 points or 0.02 percent. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) index Nifty, recovering from three days of decline, closed at 24,641.80 points, increasing by 31.75 points or 0.13 percent.
According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were sellers on Wednesday and sold shares worth a net Rs 1,012.24 crore.
