A bad situation has emerged for the cricket world. Former Australian batsman Ian Redpath has died at the age of 83. Redpath played international cricket for Australia for 10 years and single-handedly won many important matches for the Australian team. There has been a wave of mourning in the cricket world due to his demise.
Made debut in Test cricket in 1964
Ian Redpath made his Test debut for Australia in 1964. He has scored a total of 4737 runs in 66 Test matches for Australia, which includes 8 centuries and 31 half-centuries. His highest score in Test cricket has been 171 runs. Redpath made his Test debut against South Africa. Then he scored 97 runs and missed his century. He made his debut in ODI in 1971 and played only 5 ODI matches, in which he scored 46 runs.

Cricket Victoria chairman Ross Hepburn has expressed grief over the death of Ian Redpath. He said that this is very sad news. We have to bid farewell to one of our great players. We are very proud of Ian. On behalf of Cricket Victoria, I would like to express our condolences to Ian’s family.
Hepburn said he has left a remarkable legacy for the sport at the national, state and local levels. His friendship will be missed by our cricket community. In January last year, Australia inducted him into the Hall of Fame.
The record is strong in first class cricket also
Ian Redpath’s record in first class cricket is also strong. He has scored 14993 runs in 226 first class matches, which includes 32 centuries and 84 half-centuries. Apart from this, he has 255 runs in his name in 16 List-A matches.
