This film has been directed by Anees Bazmee and Bhumika Chawla is in the lead role with Ajay Devgan. This is Ajay Devgan’s fourth film with Anees Bazmee. Before this, Ajay Devgan had worked with Anees Bazmee in ‘Deewangi’, ‘Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha’ and ‘Hulchal’. The interesting thing is that the shooting of this film was done years ago, but one of the producers of the film died suddenly, due to which its release was delayed and now it is finally released on 22 November in 2024. This film is ‘Naam’, which has recently been released in theatres.
story of the film
‘Naam’ starts with a flurry of bullets being fired at Ajay Devgan. After this Ajay falls, during this time he has a key in his hand, which he does not leave till the end. Seeing this scene reminds me of ‘Singham’. When Ajay Devgan wakes up, he has lost his memory. In the hospital he meets Bhumika Chawla, who is a doctor. Both of them get married and soon they both have a daughter. Meanwhile, the past comes back and the question is who is Ajay Devgan? Then throughout the film an attempt is made to find out who they are and on the other hand the audience wants to know why it was released after so many years.
How is the movie?
If we look at it in 2008, the story of the film is quite disturbing. Ajay Devgan wakes up from the bed in the hospital, then he gets scared and hugs Bhumika and in the next moment they both have a daughter. Meaning, in 2 seconds we go from two to one. Meanwhile, Sameera Reddy enters the film, who first tells Ajay Devgan that I do not know you and the next moment I cannot live without you. Overall, the audience would not have expected such suspense in Ajay Devgan’s film.
How is the acting of the actors?
Talking about acting, Ajay Devgan has done a decent job. Bhumika Chawla’s acting is also fine. Sameera Reddy looks a little too much and Shriya Sharma, who was seen in the role of Ajay-Bhumika’s daughter, looks cute. Apart from this, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharat Saxena and Yashpal Sharma are also good in their respective roles, but the story of the film is quite boring as of today. After watching the film, it becomes even more difficult to believe that it has been directed by Anees Bazmee.
