Indian The stock market closed almost flat today. The Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex closed down 0.07 percent or 53 points at 79,996 today. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty closed at 24,323 with a marginal increase of 0.09 percent or 21 points. At the time of market closing, out of 50 Nifty stocks, 34 stocks were in the green and 16 stocks were in the red. Today, oil and gas, healthcare, PSU bank and pharma stocks saw a good rise.

Talking about the stocks of Nifty pack, the highest gain was recorded in ONGC by 4.06 percent, Reliance by 2.63 percent, SBI by 2.42 percent, Britannia by 2.09 percent and Cipla by 1.98 percent. Apart from this, HDFC Bank fell by 4.50 percent, Titan by 1.90 percent, LTI Mindtree by 0.85 percent, Tata Steel by 0.73 percent and Indusind Bank by 0.61 percent.
Status of sectoral indices
Talking about sectoral indices, the highest rise was recorded in Nifty Oil and Gas at 2.10 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Midsmall Healthcare rose 0.63 percent, Nifty Healthcare Index rose 1.28 percent, Nifty Realty rose 0.02 percent, Nifty PSU Bank rose 1.25 percent, Nifty Pharma rose 1.28 percent, Nifty Metal rose 0.38 percent, Nifty Media rose 0.09 percent, Nifty FMCG rose 1.03 percent and Nifty Auto rose 0.09 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Financial Services fell 1.01 percent, Nifty Bank fell 0.83 percent, Nifty IT fell 0.18 percent, Nifty Private Bank fell 0.98 percent and Nifty Consumer Durables fell 0.13 percent.
