The Pune Porsche car case had not yet cooled down when another accident case has come to light from Maharashtra. This time the accused is a doctor, whose car caused the death of an elderly woman. The woman met with an accident in the premises of Sion Hospital. The elderly woman was admitted to Sion Hospital in an injured condition on Friday night. After admitting her to the hospital, the police was informed about it. The police tried to find out about the woman’s family, who could be contacted in the morning.
Accident with a well-known doctor’s car
At present, the matter is gaining momentum because this accident happened with the car of the famous doctor Rajesh Dhere of Sion Hospital. Police sources have given this information. On the basis of the complaint of Shahnawaz Khan, son of the deceased woman Zubaida Sheikh, the police has registered a case under sections 304A, 388, 279, 203, 177 and sub-section 184 of the IPC and arrested Dr. Rajesh Dhere. The car in which this accident happened (Tata Harrier) is also registered in the name of Dr. Rajesh Dhere.
The woman was undergoing treatment in the hospital
Zubeda Shaikh, a resident of Mumbra, was being treated at Sion Hospital. The woman, who was suffering from diabetes, had wounds on her hands, for which she was admitted to Sion Hospital for the last two weeks. She was discharged from the hospital a week ago and she started visiting Sion Hospital for follow-up. She had also come to the hospital for follow-up on Friday. While leaving the OPD building of the hospital at 7:30 pm, she collided with the car of Dr. Rajesh near the building.
The police arrested the accused doctor
Sources said that the injured woman was admitted to the ICU by the doctor himself. The police is investigating the entire matter. A senior police officer said that the CCTV footage of the hospital premises is being scanned. According to police sources, in the preliminary investigation it seems that the woman had an accident, but the police is also investigating the case from other angles. The police have arrested the accused doctor.
