Fire at Delhi hospital late night

A total of 12 newborns were caught in the fire in the capital Delhi, who were somehow rescued by the fire department, but only 6 of them could be saved. While 5 are admitted in the hospital and one is currently on ventilator.

New Delhi: A fire has broken out in a baby care centre in the capital Delhi. So far 7 newborns have died in this accident, while 6 have been rescued and shifted to another hospital. The condition of one of these newborns is still critical. He was kept on ventilator. The above accident happened at New Born Baby Care Hospital in Vivek Vihar, East Delhi at 11:30 pm last Saturday.

In this regard, the Delhi Fire Service official said that 12 children were rescued from the accident site, out of which 7 have died, 1 is on ventilator and 5 others are hospitalized. It is worth mentioning that as soon as the information about the above incident was received, 16 fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and the fire was brought under control. According to reports, the building in which the hospital was running and the nearby residential building caught fire. The fire brigade has extinguished the fire so far. Vehicles parked outside the center have also been burnt.

According to the information, this is a baby care center in Block B of Vivek Vihar. After this accident, the family members of the children are crying inconsolably. The hospital management has maintained silence on this accident for now. The police are currently gathering information about this accident from the hospital staff. Now they are also trying to find out whether the hospital had a fire fighting system or not. It is worth noting that this incident happened on the day when at least 27 people died due to a massive fire and collapse of the building in a crowded gaming zone in Rajkot city of Gujarat.
