New Delhi: In the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, voting has started today for 58 seats in six states and two union territories, including all 7 seats in Delhi. Apart from the capital Delhi, voting is taking place today in 14 seats of Uttar Pradesh, all 10 seats in Haryana, eight seats each in Bihar and West Bengal, six seats in Odisha, four seats in Jharkhand and one seat in Jammu & Kashmir. Apart from this, voting will also take place in 42 assembly seats of Odisha.

More than 11.13 crore people are eligible to vote in this phase. These include 5.84 crore men, 5.29 crore women and 5,120 third gender voters. Along with this, voting is also being held in Anantnag-Rajouri seat of Jammu and Kashmir today.
In view of this election, the Election Commission appealed to the voters to participate in the election festival in large numbers and vote with responsibility and pride. Let us tell you that in the fifth phase on May 20, 62.2 percent voting took place on 49 seats. It is worth noting that till the fifth phase, voting has been done on 429 seats out of 543 Lok Sabha seats. Voting will be completed on a total of 487 seats by May 25. Voting will be held on 56 seats in the last and seventh phase.
In this sixth phase, three Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Krishan Pal Singh Gurjar and Rao Indrajit Singh are in the fray. Three former Chief Ministers Mehbooba Mufti, Manohar Lal Khattar and Jagdambika Pal are also in the fray this time.
Apart from these, Manoj Tiwari, Maneka Gandhi, Naveen Jindal, Bansuri Swaraj, Sambit Patra, Raj Babbar, Nirhua are also trying their luck in this sixth phase. The richest candidate in this phase is BJP candidate Naveen Jindal from Kurukshetra seat of Haryana. He has personal assets worth Rs 1241 crore.
