Fire breaks out in gaming zone
More than 25 people have died in the fire in Rajkot’s gaming zone. Many children are also included in this. The death toll is expected to increase. Meanwhile, the state Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh for the families of the deceased. Along with this, people injured in the accident will be given a compensation of Rs 50 thousand. Relief and rescue work is going on at the site of the incident. Firefighters are also searching for people in the debris. Many people have been evacuated safely.
On this incident, PM Modi wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the fire incident in Rajkot. My condolences are with all those who have lost their loved ones. Prayers for the injured. The local administration is working to provide all possible assistance to the affected people.”
The Home Minister of the country, Amit Shah, also expressed grief and wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the accident in the game zone of Rajkot (Gujarat). I have spoken to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and got information regarding this accident. The administration is making every possible effort for relief and rescue work and is providing treatment to the injured. I express my deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in this tragic accident and wish the injured a speedy recovery.”
Posts of Chief Minister of Gujarat
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel made two posts on this matter. He wrote on the first post, “In the fire incident in the game zone in Rajkot, the Municipal Corporation and the administration have been instructed to carry out immediate rescue and relief work. Instructions have also been given to give priority to the arrangement of immediate treatment of the injured.”
After the death toll in this accident increased, he wrote, “The tragedy of fire in Rajkot is heart-wrenching. I express my heartfelt condolences to the people who lost their lives in this incident and their families. I pray to God for the speedy recovery of the injured. The state government will give Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50 thousand to the injured. It is very important to ensure that such an incident does not happen again. Any kind of negligence in this event will not be tolerated. In this regard, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed and entrusted with the responsibility of investigating the entire matter.”
On this accident, BJP MLA Darshita Shah said, “A very sad incident has happened in Rajkot today. This is the first time in the history of Rajkot that children have died due to a fire in a game zone. The rescue team is trying its best to save as many people as possible. The government will take action on the matter but right now the priority is to save as many people as possible.”
