Ghazipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attacked the Congress alliance and alleged that Congress is an expert in delaying work and snatching rights and they did not even let the brave soldiers of our army get ‘One Rank, One Pension’. He said that ‘One Rank, One Pension’ was implemented for army soldiers only when Modi came. Describing Ghazipur as the land of soldiers, Modi said that the land of Ghazipur tells the tales of valor and bravery. The tradition of Ghazipur and the name of Gamhar village here is enough, where brave soldiers emerge from every house. Has anyone other than Ghazipur got this honor? The whole country is indebted to this land.

1. Taking aim at the opposition party Samajwadi Party, Modi said, “SP’s ‘Prince’ had once said that he will stop the entry of mafia and then he went and sat at the feet of mafia. SP nurtured the mafia and gave them tickets. This time Samajwadi Party has given ticket to Afzal Ansari, brother of mafia Mukhtar Ansari, from Ghazipur Lok Sabha seat. Modi claimed, “During SP’s rule, the situation in the state was such that mafia used to roam around with red lights, used to warn the law in open jeeps. Opponents were openly gunned down. Riots had become the identity of UP. There used to be 2-3 riots every month during SP’s government. The poor used to suffer because of this. Now in Yogi government, riots have stopped and rioters have also stopped.
2. PM Modi said that Congress is an expert in delaying work and snatching rights. They did not even let the brave soldiers of our army get ‘One Rank, One Pension’. ‘One Rank, One Pension’ was implemented only when Modi came. How Congress made fun of the hard work of our army soldiers, how they threw dust in their eyes, tried their best to fool them. He said, “When the Bharatiya Janata Party declared me as the Prime Ministerial candidate in 2013, after that my first rally was held in Rewari, Haryana and there I said that I will implement ‘One Rank, One Pension’. Congress people got scared that Modi has announced it, what to do now? They hurriedly threw dust in everyone’s eyes and put Rs 500 crore in the budget and wrote ‘One Rank, One Pension’. Then they held conferences of ex-servicemen across the country, where the ‘Prince’ of Congress sang the song of ‘One Rank, One Pension’.
3. He said, “When you gave me the opportunity to serve as the Prime Minister and I took up this job, I was shocked to see how they betrayed the army. They (Congress) pretended to be ‘One Rank, One Pension’ by writing Rs 500 crore. I said that I want to implement ‘One Rank, One Pension’. Modi said, “You will be surprised to know that till now Rs 1.25 lakh crore has been deposited in the accounts of ex-servicemen to implement ‘One Rank, One Pension’.
4. Now someone tell me that there is a need of Rs. 1.25 lakh crore and in front of it a drama of Rs. 500 crore. Is this a fraud or not? This is dishonesty and an insult to ex-servicemen.” Attacking the opposition leaders, Prime Minister Modi said, ”Be it Ghazipur, UP or the whole country, the leaders of dynastic parties kept on building palaces after palaces for their families but the poor villagers, farmers, labourers, Dalits and deprived kept on struggling for the smallest needs of life.
5. PM Modi said that we have given Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to four crore families. We have opened bank accounts of 50 crore poor people. We have provided electricity to every village, we are providing water to every house. Today, a poor person does not have to sell his land for treatment, because today he has Ayushman card. He said, “If my mother has to suffer illness, then what is the point of this son sitting in Delhi. Therefore, this son of yours has decided that now Modi will take the responsibility of treating the poor in their illness. Today, Ayushman Yojana helps crores of families in trouble.
6. The Indi alliance is standing together in the loot of SC-ST-OBC reservation. But this Modi is standing in front of them with his chest puffed up and I guarantee… as long as Modi is alive, I will not let them snatch the reservation of SC-ST-OBC under any circumstances. I will not let them play games on the basis of religion. The rights of the deprived… Modi is their chowkidaar.
7. PM Modi said that the work we did changed the lives of the poor. In just 10 years, 25 crore people have come out of poverty… This happened because your vote strengthened Modi. We gave PM housing to 4 crore families. We opened bank accounts of 50 crore poor people.
8. The Indi alliance has betrayed Ghazipur. After independence, the Congress had vowed that it would not develop this area. The people here are forced to live in poverty. The problem here was first raised by our Gahmari Babu, he told Nehru ji about the situation here in the Parliament and with tears in his eyes Babuji said how the people here used to eat wheat by picking it from the dung of animals.
9. The land of Ghazipur tells stories of valour and bravery. The tradition of Ghazipur and the village of Gamhar… this name itself is enough. Where brave men emerge from every house… has anyone other than Ghazipur got this honour… the whole country is indebted to this land.
